“The Borough has been extremely fortunate to be the recipient of generous donations from the Aaron and Rachel Meyer Memorial Foundation. Most recently this donation will enable the Borough to move forward with the construction of a needed new addition to the Borough’s Police Headquarters. This addition will bring the Police Headquarters into compliance with modern Code requirements for detention facilities. Because of the Borough’s financial constraints, it is only through the generosity of the Foundation that we were able to take on this important project, and the Council and I are very grateful.”
Mayor Frank Bivona
“This donation allows the police department to move forward with a project that is long overdue. It will allow us to not only improve our daily working conditions but more importantly, provides the safety and security necessary for both the officers and the public. The generosity of the Aaron & Rachel Meyer Memorial Foundation is greatly appreciated.”
Police Chief Carmine Pezzuti
The Police Headquarters expansion project will bring the Headquarters into compliance with today’s standards for detention facilities, with the construction of an addition which will include two jail cells, a “sally port”, and interview rooms. On the basement level, this addition will provide some additional space for needed storage or other purposes.
